How Twitter might change under Musk's leadership

How Twitter might change under Musk's leadership. The saga of Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter continues. If it now seems almost confirmed that the billionaire will acquire the social network, let's see what this could change. We will also come back to the impact that the news could have on the crypto market and more particularly on token memes!

The fight against bots and fake accounts made an absolute priority!

During a TED talk last April, when the takeover of Twitter was already being discussed, Musk declared his intentions on spambots:

"A top priority that I would have would be to weed out spam and bot armies that are on Twitter. They make the product much worse. If I had one Dogecoin for every cryptocurrency scam I saw, we would have 100 billion Dogecoin."

The problem of bots is also the one that derailed the first negotiations between Twitter and Elon Musk.

Return of Donald Trump on Twitter?

The other main focus for Musk is on freedom of speech. On this point, the businessman has always been the defender of almost total freedom of expression. As he said last April:

"I hope even my worst critics stay on Twitter because that's what free speech means."

Musk's takeover of Twitter could therefore also result in a return of former President Donald Trump to the servers of the bluebird. As a reminder, Trump was banned from Twitter in January 2021 following the riot on Capitol Hill.

This was confirmed by a May 13 tweet in which Musk said Trump probably shouldn't run for president because he was divisive, but felt he should be reactivated on Twitter.

Twitter, soon paying?

It is a rumor that swelled following the first discussions between the American billionaire and the social network with the bluebird. If there had been talks of charging 0.1 DOGE per tweet or retweet, Musk himself announced that this idea was unworkable.

The possibility of adding tips to content creators could materialize more concretely with the arrival of Musk. Opening new perspectives and new outlets for digital assets. On this point, certain projects such as Dogecoin could be favored.

The arrival of Elon Musk could also result in the publication of the Twitter algorithm. The American billionaire had also published a survey on this subject. For 82% of respondents, the proposal was decided by a “Yes”. If the exact terms aren't known, it could take the form of publicly available software where users can read the code, use it for their applications, and make suggestions to improve how it works.

Other additions could also see the light of days, such as the edit button or the possibility of posting long tweets. On this last point, the Twitter teams

A widespread positive effect on the crypto market and token memes?

As we know, Elon Musk is rather a cryptophile and a fan of certain token memes. It has often made the rain around the two main projects in this category: Dogecoin and Shiba Inu. In the digital asset market, Musk's influence is colossal. Including the biggest projects.

A few months ago, the Tesla CEO simply added #bitcoin to his Twitter bio. This simple action allowed the mother of cryptocurrencies to climb almost 10% in a few minutes.

Remember that Twitter is one of the favorite communication tools for lovers of digital assets. According to the BitInfoCharts platform, the social network also receives more than 120,000 tweets per day on Bitcoin.

However, it is difficult to say that Musk's takeover of the Twitter business can translate into a positive element for the entire meme token market. If some projects could do well, it seems hard to believe that all token memes can benefit from it.

Anyway, this takeover could allow certain projects to take a little more light. We are thinking in particular of the Tamadoge project and its TAMA token meme.

This project allows users to raise a virtual creature and advance it within a metaverse by competing against other users.
