For Mark Cuban, This Crypto Has More Potential Than Cardano

For Mark Cuban, this crypto has more potential than Cardano

For Mark Cuban, this crypto has more potential than Cardano. Mark Cuban loves crypto. Besides loving, he invests a lot in crypto and often gives his opinions on the market. Precisely, he has just spoken about Cardano. And the least we can say is that the billionaire does not carry the Cardano crypto in his heart! Or rather, he prefers another crypto to Cardano (ADA)… Which one?

Mark Cuban, a supporter of Dogecoin but not too much of Cardano

As we know, Mark Cuban is one of the fervent supporters of Dogecoin (DOGE), just like Elon Musk. Dogecoin is also part of its crypto portfolio.

Recently, he was on a show about cryptos. The name of the radio show is “ Altcoin Daily Podcast ”. In other words, it is about discussions on cryptos and more particularly on altcoins like… Dogecoin!

Mark Cuban did not miss the opportunity to boast about his favorite crypto Dogecoin (DOGE). But he also spoke about Cardano in rather negative terms.

Indeed, according to him, Cardano has not had the expected success. While Charles Hoskinson-created crypto opened up to smart contracts several months ago, it doesn't see many projects jostling for the door.

According to Mark Cuban, the number of transactions is the “indicator” to look at to determine the “success” of crypto. And it is clear that this number does not explode.

Moreover, while Africa is a territory in which the crypto Cardano counts a lot, for the moment the coin has not had the impact envisaged.

“I think people in Africa are not using Cardano as much as expected." Mark Cuban, billionaire and crypto investor

However, Mark Cuban does not think that we should draw a definitive line on Cardano.

According to him, Cardano has the potential to attract the future big application that would be used globally. As he says, “the door is open but it hasn't happened yet”.

Dogecoin and Cardano do not (yet) play in the same category

The comparison between Cardano and Dogecoin is not easy (nor relevant?) to make. Why? Simply because these two cryptos are not aiming for the same thing at the moment.

Cardano falls into the category of “ Ethereum killers ”.

A competitor of Ethereum, Cardano is a crypto that allows the development of decentralized applications (dApps). Dogecoin, on the other hand, is a coin designed more for payments and transactions like Bitcoin.

Also, comparing Cardano and Dogecoin would be like comparing Ethereum and Bitcoin… which, let’s face it, doesn’t make too much sense.

So why is Mark Cuban making this comparison? In fact, the billionaire envisions that Dogecoin could one day compete directly with Cardano.

Indeed, Mark Cuban thinks it is reasonable to see Dogecoin eventually become a platform conducive to the development of decentralized applications.

When (if?) that happens, then it will be time to compare the two cryptos. In the meantime, the Cardano crypto remains firmly established in the global top 10.

The capitalization of Dogecoin and Cardano

If for Mark Cuban, the Cardano is in failure at the moment, the ADA coin still does better than the Dogecoin in terms of capitalization. At the time of writing, Cardano is the 8th crypto in the world with a capitalization of around 17 billion euros.

The DOGE coin, on the other hand, ranks 11th with a capitalization of almost 9 billion euros. In other words, Cardano weighs almost twice as much as Dogecoin. Not so bad for a “failed” crypto!
