Eminem and Snoop Dog will rap their NFT title at the VMAs

Eminem and Snoop Dog will rap their NFT title at the VMAs. The NFT universe reaches the highest artistic spheres with the new title of Eminem and Snoop Dog at the VMAs. Their music 'From the D to the LBC' stands out for its sensational music video based on BAYC's NFTs.

The rappers revealed the title on June 24, 2022, and have almost 50 million views for 2 million likes. This great success will have earned them a nomination for the MTV Music Awards on August 28, 2022. But for their representation, the latter will have opted for a particular staging.

The two artists are inspired by the brand new concept of the founders of Bored Apes. They will stage their title on “Otherside Metaverse”, which should attract several thousand viewers online. The VMAs stage will then be transformed in the style of the NFT collection to make the experience even livelier!

To go even further, the MTV Music Awards even added a “best metaverse performance” section. This shows the enthusiasm that the world of NFTs has been arousing lately.

NFTs, a marketing attempt by VMAs

By launching into the metaverse, the MTV Music Awards hope to win back a certain audience. It hasn't been in great shape since 2011. Their audience peak was reached this year with nearly 12.4 million viewers. The event has never since attracted so many people, capping an audience of 900,000 spectators on average.

Snoop and Eminem's single, "From the D to the LBC" is a great opportunity to revive the hype around the annual project. NFTs have the advantage of having a fresh and dynamic aesthetic. They fit very well into an audiovisual representation such as the VMAs. The occasion is all the more beautiful, as the two artists had not collaborated for 20 years!

NFTs, a marketing attempt by VMAs

Snoop and Eminem: Big fans of Bored Apes NFTs

This is not Snoop's first attempt at BAYC NFTs. He had already participated in a single called “BAYC” by Esther Anaya for an animated brand video. Snoop Dog is preparing a project around NFTs and is planning a collection of his own NFTs which will bear the name “Doggies collection”.

Eminem is known to be a collector of these NFTs. He bought an NFT Bored Apes on December 31, 2021, for an amount of 123.45 ETH. He has, among other things, a phenomenal collection of 28 NFTs that goes by the name “Shady_Holdings”.

With all this history, the two protagonists are the perfect muses to represent the new category of VMAs. For this Sunday, we can expect a peak audience that will delight the organizers of the MTV Music Awards.

Focus on “Otherside Metaverse” the new popular platform

Otherside metaverse is a Yuga Labs project already in open beta at the time of writing this article. To be able to access it, it is imperative to have an Otherside field NFT. To put it simply, these NFTs correspond to plots of land which are trading today at around 2500/4000 dollars.

Users who have purchased these NFTs are considered “Travellers”. If you want to watch Eminem and Snoop's performance in the Metaverse, you'll have to get your hands on the wallet. However, these NFTs are likely to gain in value over the coming months and years. The Otherside Metaverse game could well be the scene of different events like the VMAs afterward.

If you are interested in the concept, we advise you to go to the “Otherdeed” project page from OpenSea. At the moment, there are nearly 35,000 holders of these plots of land. If the creators of the project continue to maintain the hype and develop the platform, it could rise in value quickly. To obtain land, the floor price is 1.7 ETH.
